Beija Flor Resort is a Boutique hotel in Mal Pais, on the southern-most tip of the Nicoya peninsula. Just 2 kilometers from the Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve and steps away from the Pacific Ocean, it provides everything a person seeking relaxation and comfort needs: Our eleven spacious rooms and one fully-equipped villa combine warm colors and local materials with a modern design. They are located in a tropical garden, which iguanas, squirrels and many birds call their home. We also offer a fine-dining restaurant, a coffee shop, a pool lounge area, as well as our own spa and yoga deck.
Our Spa is an open-air parlor hidden between palm trees in the tropical garden. Just as our therapists come from different backgrounds, we offer a wide variety of therapies and esthetics:
Massage Therapies: Rebalancing, Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Thai and Couples' Massage.
Healing Therapies:Traditional Chinese, Acupuncture & Cupping, Reiki, Watsu Hydrotherapy.
Spa Therapies: Coconut Skin Polish, Volcanic Clay Detox, Slimming Seaweed Wrap, Custom Spa Packages.
Esthetics: Facials, Manicures / Pedicures, Waxing.
The Yoga Deck can also be found in our garden. It allows the guests to smell the tropical plants surrounding them while they breathe deeply in their asanas. Mainly based on Hatha yoga, our classes are for all levels. Our teacher concentrates on the needs of the student and adjusts her classes accordingly.
She also has experience with teaching families and finds the perfect balance between relaxation for the parents and “entertaining†yoga for the kids.

We have a spacious parking lot and a security guard at night to watch the buildings as well as the parking.
Dining - Beija Flor Resort Malpais
Just a few months after opening the doors, our restaurant is already famous in the area for its spectacular menu. Our chef Christian Schwaiger led several fine- dining restaurants in New York and his light cuisine has French and Asian influences. We can seat up to 36 guests with additional space in the pool lounge. Lunch, beautiful candle-light dinners, a selection of excellent wines and cocktails all can be enjoyed daily from 12am - 12pm. If you would like to host a special event at the restaurant, please let us know it advance and we gladly arrange it for you. Our Coffee Shop offers the best espresso in Mal Pais. Hotel guests and walk-ins are welcome to enjoy an Italian-style Cappuccino or select from our delicious breakfast and lunch menu. It is open daily from 7am – 6pm. Wi-fi internet access is available in the Coffee Shop, Restaurant and pool lounge area. If you would like to include a Continental Breakfast, you can do so upfront or directly in the hotel's restaurant. The costs are $5 per person / night extra.
